The most complete and exclusive inventory of important and decorative tapestries and carpets in Europe is housed at Franses in London.

The Inventory is previewed under the following four categories:

In every case, works have been chosen and acquired with unequalled experience and connoisseurship. Important and decorative carpets, rugs, and tapestries have all been collected with discernment and with a special emphasis on beauty of colour and composition, as well as a rigorous concern for condition.

Important objects are subject to in-depth research to establish history and provenance. Works originating from centres of production throughout Europe, Asia, and China are available. These works include more than one hundred carpets and rugs dating from before 1800, and over two hundred European tapestries woven before the French revolution. This represents the largest inventory in Europe.

A select portfolio of English and European designer carpets from the Arts and Crafts, Art Nouveau, Art Deco and Modernist movements has also been assembled.

The inventory includes a small but select collection of embroidered works of art, historic upholstery, and other early textiles from Europe and Asia.
