Eastern carpets and rugs is a field with vast numbers of suppliers and an abundance of material. This makes expertise and discrimination especially important.

The inventory focus is on important carpets from Persia, India, Turkey, the Caucasus, Central Asia, East Turkestan and China.

Works include extremely sophisticated Court production, as well as primitive village weavings. There are historic carpets pre 1800 as well as objects of beauty and originality from the nineteenth century, up until the First World War.

There is a particular emphasis on large room-sized carpets that will complement different styles and periods of antique furniture, as well as others which can be used with twentieth century furniture and modern or contemporary art.

Sizes range from 38ft/11.5m to small bedside rugs. Galleries and runners are a speciality.
